Our Compass: Cultivating Calm, Courage & Creativity
LuminLing's Studio supports whole-child
development through therapeutic art and
children’s yoga programs designed to spark
creativity, build emotional intelligence, and
support physical and mental well-being.
Rooted in Montessori principles and guided by
the Early Learning and Development
Standards (ELDS), we offer semi-private and
private classes to ensure each child receives
the care and attention they deserve. Our
programs include observational insights to
support each child’s journey and provide
families with access to trusted specialists
when further support is needed. Through our
workbooks, resources, and grounded, heartled approach, we aim to walk alongside families as they nurture imaginative, confident, and resilient young minds.

At LuminLing's Studio, we envision a world where children are not seen as “becomings” but as radiant beings in the now. Whole, wise, and worthy!
A world where they are truly seen, heard, and held, not just with hands, but with heart, with presence, and with deep reverence.
We dream of a cultural shift! One where the sacredness of childhood is honored in homes, classrooms, and communities.
Where caregivers, educators, and parents are not only supported but also celebrated in their roles as soul guides and nurturers.
Our vision is to co-create a luminous, inclusive community where joy is a practice, connection is a compass, and every child is met with intentional care, playful wisdom, and the space to bloom as they are. We believe childhood is sacred. Our work is guided by the understanding that children are not empty vessels to be filled but luminous beings to be witnessed, nurtured, and respected.
Each session is an invitation into presence. We listen deeply. We hold space gently. We teach with intention. Our values are more than words, they are woven into every breath, brushstroke, and posture we share. Whether we’re guiding a child through mindful movement or helping them explore their inner world through art, we honour who they are and who they’re becoming.
We root our approach in developmental science, somatic wisdom, cultural sensitivity, and love. Because children deserve nothing less than our most thoughtful, wholehearted attention.
- About the founder
Becoming LuminLing: A Story of Art, Healing, and Homegrown Hope
I’m Jordan Ling—a South African, Coloured woman, artist, teacher, and space-holder.
LuminLing isn’t just a studio; it’s a living, breathing reflection of everything I’ve learned by walking gently with children—and slowly, patiently, with myself.
My journey began in Montessori classrooms, where I first witnessed how deeply children feel, even without words. That quiet noticing led me to children’s yoga, art therapy, and the heartwork of creating spaces where little ones feel safe to express, explore, and simply be.
This work is personal. It’s ancestral. It’s rooted in the knowing that children are whole, worthy, and wise—long before we give them language to say so.
It’s also a quiet, unwavering rebellion against all the spaces where I, too, wasn’t fully seen, heard, or understood as a child. I carry those memories not as wounds, but as reminders.

At LuminLing's Studio, we believe childhood is sacred. Our work is guided by the understanding that children are not empty vessels to be filled—but luminous beings to be witnessed, nurtured, and respected.
